Marie has almost 20 years’ experience in the women’s publishing market. After seven years at more!, during which time she won the Emap Editor of the Year Award, she spent three years as editor of ELLE magazine.

 

She followed this with a year as Group Publishing Director of Emap Youth, overseeing editorial, advertising and marketing of the teen and young women’s market. She took over the editorial reins at Marie Claire in 2001.

 

During her seven years as Marie Claire’s editor, she won IPC’s Editor of the Year award twice. Marie has also made several TV appearances as a studio pundit on shows including GMTV, Newsnight, The Today Show, Question Time and BBC1’s Breakfast, and appeared as the chair of the judging panel on BBC3’s Britain’s Missing Top Model. Marie is also a regular contributor to national newspapers and pens a weekly column and monthly agony aunt slot for The Times.
